Charged by Nature. Grounded by Grizz.
We're working on connecting you to the planet
We're working on connecting you to the planet
You know what’s kind of ridiculous?
Spending four hours walking on perfectly manicured, living, breathing Earth… while being completely insulated from it.
Synthetic soles = disconnection.
Grounded soles = recharge while you play.
At Grounded Grizz, we’re currently developing earthing flip flops designed for real life — for everyday use and for golfers who want to stay connected to the planet without giving up comfort, style, or their handicap.
Every shoe will come with the option of having golf spikes for the course, or sans spikes for every day life.
Whether you’re walking the dog, hitting the grocery store, or chasing birdies on the back nine, our flip flops will:
* Conduct Earth's electrons through your feet, thanks to integrated conductive pathways.
* Feel like regular, high-quality footwear, not clunky science projects.
* Help you recharge while you walk, without anyone even noticing (except maybe when you start feeling ridiculously better).
* Be slightly sexy, so the other ladies on the course will be like "Why is she always so freakishly adorable?"
No more wasting the best hours of your day (and your best swings) disconnected from Mother Earth.
Get grounded. Stay grounded. Play better. Live better.
Clint was a retired cable TV executive—not a doctor, not a guru—who had a simple but powerful thought:
"If grounding electrical systems stabilizes them... could grounding the human body do the same?"
After a health scare forced him to rethink everything, Clint became obsessed with the idea that modern humans, insulated by rubber soles and high-rise living, had disconnected from the Earth’s natural energy. He started experimenting (mostly on himself) and found that sleeping grounded reduced pain, improved sleep, and helped him feel dramatically better.
That single idea—reconnecting humans to the Earth's surface—sparked a movement.
Today, Clint Ober is known as the father of modern-day Earthing.
So what is Earthing? (And Why You Should Care) If you're anything like me, you hear the word earthing and immediately picture some barefoot hippie doing yoga in a field, chanting about energy waves and enlightenment. I don’t mind a little yoga, meditation, and enlightenment, but I crave the science.
I thought it was total hippie-dippy bullshit.
Here’s the ultra-simple version:
The Earth is covered in a subtle electric charge made up of free electrons.
When your skin makes direct contact with the ground—grass, soil, sand, water—you absorb those electrons, which help neutralize inflammation, reduce pain, improve sleep, and balance your body’s natural energy.
Not Just Vibes—There’s Real Science.
Scientists have actually studied earthing and found measurable benefits.
One major review published by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) concluded that grounding can:
* Improve sleep
* Reduce chronic pain
* Lower cortisol levels (your stress hormone)
* Decrease inflammation
* Support your immune response

Still skeptical? This was hard for me to swallow too. So I recommend you start where I did:

It’s free, easy to understand, and completely changed how I see this stuff.
My name is Rebecca, but they call me Grizz. I like my cocktails, I don’t eat kale (because I have taste buds), and I’m what I like to call pleasantly plump—which just means I have more surface area to absorb Earth's electrons (more on that above).
I’m not a health guru. I don’t want to sell you a cleanse, fix your life, or pretend I’ve got it all figured out. I’m just someone who started grounding and actually felt… better. Less inflammation. Better sleep. More chill. Like my nervous system exhaled for the first time in decades. And the difference it's made in the circulation in my legs is nothing short of miraculous for me.
Living in Oregon, going barefoot all year isn’t exactly practical (unless you’re a hobbit or into frostbite), so I started looking for ways to stay connected to the Earth—like sleeping with a grounding mat and sneaking barefoot time when the weather cooperates.
But then it hit me on the golf course: Why am I walking around all day on lush, living ground—completely insulated from it by my shoes? As someone who spends a lot of time chasing golf balls and inner peace, I realized the answer might be just one grounded step away.
That’s how Grounded Grizz was born—out of curiosity, experimentation, and the stubborn belief that healing doesn’t have to be hard, pretentious, or taste like blended spinach. I've begun to seek out ways to keep me connected to the planet. And that brings us here.
If you’re looking for real ways to reconnect with the Earth (without giving up happy hour), you’re in the right place. Let's get grounded—Grizz style.
